12-14 months

Locomotion:

At this age, your baby is suing alternating steps to walk 8 feet while holding adult’s hand. He is able to walk unassisted for 5 steps. He is able to pick up a toy, returns to standing and taking 3 steps without losing balance. He is able to creep up 2 steps on the stairs on hands and knees.

Stationary:

In kneeling position, your baby is able to maintain his balance while rotating his head.

Object manipulation:

In sitting position, your baby is able to corral an 8 inch ball with his hands and arms without losing balance. He is able to roll an 8 inch ball forward using his hands. He is able to throw a 3 inch ball in any direction by extending his arms at the shoulder or elbow.
